Bluetooth remote for XP for using MC12
« on: October 17, 2007, 05:12:49 am »

Hello,

I'm in need of a remote control on bluetooth. I have a working bluetooth stick in a USB port.
So far I'm only seeing software for telephones, however my phone is not supported.

I cannot use IR.

Thanks for any help.

Regards,

I cannot use IR.

allergic?

 ;D

How about RF?
I know the ATi Remote Wonder is RF and need not be line-of-sight, I expect others may be as well.

Hi,

Maybe this can work too. I would only need to pauze a movie or skip a chapter etc.

However: I could use my Sony Erricson V800 phone! I found out it has a MediaPlayer remote.
I can stop/start a movie or song, but other buttons like next chapter isn't working and gives odd results like a new smartlist. There's software for the phones to make HID files, but to be honest I'm not wellknown with this.

So I might go for the ATI, unless something else comes up...

Thanks,

Hello,

With the Sony Ericsson software I was able to have my V800 phone working as a remote control!
I had to figure out how to do it, but I´m glad I spend some time to make it work.

I can even move the mouse and double click thumbs etc.

So for now I´m fine with this solution.

If someone has a similar phone and wants to try it out I can send the hid file by email.
The image included for the buttons is that of the V800-Z800

I've made a remote control profile which allow my Sony K700i to control media center via bluetooth, maybe it may work with other Sony phones.

Here's a the screenshot:

To use it, just upload this file (via bluetooth) to your phone: http://perso.cvp-net.com/misc/MediaCenter.hid

(software used to do this is here: K700 remote Profiler )
