Moving everything to a new computer
« on: November 09, 2007, 03:04:22 pm »

I know this has been asked several times before but I can't find the thread.

The best way to move

all music files
MC 12 and settings
Library

I've obviously done it wrong using the Library Server as although all my playlists have been brought over they are all empty even though manually moving the music files to the new PC worked fine and the tracks are all in the library!

TIA. John.

Could you describe in more detail where stuff is now, and where you want to move it?  Paths to files and systems and whatnot?

Thanks for replying guys.

Library Sync worked fine.

I've been using MC for a good few years now and didn't know about this feature. Might I suggest adding a line to Jim's FAQs about this as I'm certainly not the only idiot who has asked this question.
