Can MC 'see' TwonkyVision?
« on: November 28, 2007, 08:11:26 am »

Hi,

I have a FSG nas that has Twonky on it. (Ver. 4.2)
This seems to running ok; the PS3 can see it but not play the video. WMP11 ‘sees’ it fine but annoyingly Windows Media Centre can’t.
I’ve tried searching for media servers in MC but this doesn’t work. This could well be my fault but before I pull my hair out trying to get it to work I’d thought I’d ask if MC should be able to access it.

Thanks
John

Do you mean "Can JRiver Media Center be a client to Twonkyvision's UPnP server"?
If so, the answer is no. We can act as a UPnP content server, but not as a content receiver.

Yep that’s exactly it. Oh well saved me an age trying to get it to work.

Cheers.
