Mu-mo Taiwan service starting up with your favorite player
« on: December 05, 2007, 03:36:24 pm »

Chunghwa Telecom of Taiwan is starting into beta today with the catalog of Avex, one of the two largest Japanese record labels (along with Sony Music).

It's called the mu-mo player.  JRiver built it.

Congratulations to Chunghwa, Avex, and our partner in Japan, Groove Digital!

(Note that the contents are from my desktop since we can't access the store.)

Congrats.

Can you elaborate on the Groove Digital part? Are they part of the Taiwan deal as well, or are you making a player for the Japanese market?

Since Avex and Groove Digital are both Japanese companies, you might speculate that Japan could happen, but I can't say.

Thanks.  We've built eleven that were public.  Nine are in service.  Here's the list:

We've got 5 or 6 more players under construction, and negotiations underway for about that many more.

But we'll never lose sight of who uses the player.  We owe this community a lot of gratitude!

Any chance we'll see the option for tiny cover art in the header as shown in that picture in the regular MC12?  Looks pretty nice.
