MJ slow... RAM??

Running MJ 8.0398 on a Pentium II 348 MHz PC, with 256K RAM, and Win2K. MJ performance is very slow... page rendering, clicking on varies directories, sluggish controls. What's the problem? Also, what do you recommend for minimum/ideal RAM capacity? Thanks,

256MB RAM is enough for Win2K.
You should disable skins. Rendering is very slow if you use skins.

I am using the default Mega-Me presentation window and "Plain Text" viewer for album and clip info during a Playing Now session. As for memory, my question concerns the amount of RAM needed to adequately run MJ? Thanks for your help on these two issues.
