Sync w/ Shuffle 2nd Gen: Files out of Order

I'm using MC 12.0.441...

When I set up a manual playlist and sync it to my shuffle 2nd Gen, the files do not play in the right order (yes, the shuffle is not in shuffle mode, and I have updated the seq order in my playlist). The songs seem to play randomly in groups of 5-6 songs that correspond with my playlist order i.e.:

2,4,1,3,5,9,6,7,8,10,13,11,12,14,15,18,19,16,17,20...etc.

If you could look into this, that'd be great. Thanks!
