Creative Jukebox Nomad 3
« on: March 26, 2008, 11:05:53 am »

Just installed Media Jukebox 12. When I transfer mp3 files to my Jukebox, it appears that the ID tags get lost. The music files appear with no album or artist, although the tags are there on the computer. They always appear on the Jukebox in song title alphabetic order. What am I missing? Thanks.

It's likely that the information is not in the file tag, but stored only in the MC library.

On one or two files, try this:
Tools/Library Tools/Update tags from library

The files I was transferring do not 'live' in the MC Library but I was dropping and dragging them from a folder on the PC. They have been edited with a ID tag editor for both versions. Could there be another problem? BTW, in regular Windows File Explorer, Artist, Album Name and Track show up in the cursor 'float over'. Thanks.

JIM - Once I imported my mp3s into the 'library' that part went well. All tags were recognized without having to fix anything and they exported down to my Nomad Jukebox 3 without any problems (proper order, proper tags, etc.) Thanks for your help.
