I’m running vista business and have Media center 11 installed on it  works fine. I’m trying to install media center 12(0462)  but it will not install.  It goes thought all the steps and then at the end after
Installing the plug ins I get this message

Media center has stopped working
a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available


Then the install completion comes up


Press ok

 



Now if i click on the Icon and get the first message again ‘

I've tried installing/uninstalling several times


Can anyone help??

462 may have an install issue surrounding the new metadata options.

No 0650 Never worked either. must be something with my computer. I uninstalled both 11 & 12 Installed 11 and then 12  but no luck same thing happened.
Can I have both 11 & 12 on the system at the same time?  should I try uninstalling both again just install 12? thanks, Dylan

Windows errors are sometimes wrong.  How long did you wait?  Try 30 minutes. 

Virus checkers can do weird things.
