CD Burner config help
« on: May 16, 2003, 05:36:41 am »

Hello,

I've had quite a bit of trouble with CD burning so I upgraded to the latest version of MJ8 and read all the cd burning tips.  However, I'm having trouble figuring one thing out.  My CD Writer is listed as one of the specific drives that MJ supports (and MJ correctly detects that drive).  However, the "generic" cd burner option is checked AND grayed out so that I cannot uncheck it.  Any idea how I can use the writer specific option instead of the generic?  I would really appreciate any help you could give in this regard!  Thanks in advance...

Rachel ;)

Please check the FAQ here on this problem.  You will need to install ASPI.

Sorry, I probably should've added this info (not enough coffee yet today...)

I'm running MJ8 (8.0.398) on a Win2K machine.  The CD Writer is an HP 8290 (USB external).  256mb RAM, P3 750mhz.  Thanks again!

Please forgive my ignorance but I have one further question.  Is my USB drive ASPI or IDE?
