Vertical photos not centered anymore....
« on: April 07, 2008, 07:02:23 pm »

I just cleaned out my 60gig iPod Photo and started to reload. (The recent sync problems made me want to reload).

I have a couple of problems.

The vertical photos I put on (the first in a long time) are not centered, they are on the right side. This was a problem years ago but was solved way back.

Plus I'm bombing out if I do large numbers of files (500 or so). I haven't had that problem in a long time either.

Any ideas??

thanks

There is a known problem with photos on recent versions.  Did you try 12.0470 from the MC12 board?

I think it was .468..... I'll try it with the latest.

I also just noticed that all the thumbnails were rotated 90 degrees.....

I'll get back to you on .470

As Jim mentioned, this is a known issue.  Look for a fix soon.

This is not good.  Any chance you could enable logging, and then email the log to matt at jriver dot com after the crash?  Also, can you find any rhyme or reason to what it doesn't like?

Just tried with .470 and same as before.... I'll wait for fix...

Also noticed that when I uncheck the photo playlists they were not erased from the iPod I had to remove them myself...

I'll turn on logging and try a big batch later tonight...

Buy the way ... what are you guys doing working so late!!!!!!

I just did a sync of 900 files and then 1600 files and all went well!!!  Not sure if you changed anything in .470, but I didn't have it hang....  So I'm happy...

New release seems to have fix the thumbnail and centering problem....

I also sync'ed 900 and 1500 files without a hang this time....

One thing left....  If I uncheck a photo playlist and sync the photos are not erased from the iPod, I have to manually erase them...

Thanks

There is an option called "Delete from handheld any files not in synclist".  Maybe it isn't checked.

It's checked..... but only seems to work for audio, not the photos..... I don't have video, so can't comment on that
