dragging video window to plasma crashes MC
« on: April 14, 2008, 04:48:45 pm »

I cannot seem to get MC12 to work with my plasma as a 2nd monitor.  That is, if I start a video it will start on the primary FP monitor.  And then if I 'detach display' and try to drag it to the plasma, MC will crash and Windows XP reports that it "... encountered a problem and must close ...".

I had this working with a previous computer, but in that case the plasma was connected via component video cables.  I have a feeling this is a video driver issue, but thought I first post it here where someone may have already been confronted with the problem, and hopefully found a remedy(?)

Intel DG33TL mobo and G33 chipset onboard video
Intel Dual-core E6750 CPU & 2Gb RAM
Primary FP monitor via DVI, LG plasma via VGA
Windows XP MC v12.0.473

Let me know if I can provide more info ...

TIA  :)

Video driver was my guess, too.
