Google Talk?
« on: May 26, 2008, 04:00:02 pm »

Hey, I just got J RIVER MC recently and was wondering if there was anyway to get google talk to display the music I'm listening to.
I already looked around the forums a bit but couldn't find an answer.

I don't think there is a way.  Sorry.

The Playing Now plug-in (part of MC now) can upload the track info to an FTP site.  Maybe google talk can get it from there?

If you can find a google sdk to allow someone to do what you want a plugin writer might be able to make one.

(Kind of a Hail Mary, however.)

playingnow 'paste tokens' work really well too.

Set a keyboard combo, set text to paste (accepts library fields).

Press the keyboard combo keys and the string is auto pasted into the active application, so, I press win+x and get:
* marko is listeng to: 'Where You End' by 'Moby' from the album 'Hotel' [Duration: 3:22 | 909 kbps flac (21.9 MB) | rated ? stars/5 | first time played (Imported 12 March 2005)
