Please try it.

Try what exactly?

It seems you guys come up with terms/names in the Beta team but the rest of us (or perhaps just me?) have no idea what they refer to.

I think it would be helpful if new features were introduced with a description of function and how it is accessed and used, and possibly screenshots where appropriate.

OK, I have had some coffee and found the "Panes on Top (Thin)", and it is not what I expected.

Last build I saw some behavior where when I clicked on "Album Artist (Grouped)" it did not display Album Thumbnails until I clicked on an Album Artist's name. At the time I thought that is what you were referring to. It did sem to run faster that way, but since then I have been unable to cause this behavior again.

How do I cause MC to behave like that again? Is it based on the View Scheme layout?

View/View Settings/Options.
OK, that gets me the "Panes on Top (Thin)", but how do I get the optomized behavior using regular "Panes on Top"?
Is this part of the new feature/optimization or was what I saw a 'bug' and not supposed to happen in regular Panes on Top?

As a new user, I have to agree this seems like a good idea. On the other hand, I don't pay much attention to "What's new," help or wiki documentation. But spotting an intriguing yet incomprehensible term like this compels me to investigate. Then there's the surprise and joy of the discovery...  ;D

Yes, I like it! Especially to make more room for viewing thumbnails.
