Happy Fourth of July
« on: July 03, 2008, 10:26:15 am »

To all the great folks from the United States of America....  We wish you a very happy fourth.

I'm spending the day with my daughter.  We're going up to Madeline Island, at the south end of Lake Superior.  It's supposed to be 73 degrees and sunny.  We're going to make sure we get at least one ice cream cone.

To the rest of our friends around the world....  We'll be loafing tomorrow, but we hope you get some kind of pleasure knowing that someone somewhere isn't working.

Today also happens to be the 400th Anniversary of the founding of Quebec City.  So, happy 400 to any of you Québécois around (and Canadians in general).  Hope you're having fun up there!

I'll be taking a 'spirited' motorcycle ride through Skull Valley, AZ.
Does Mr. Gateley wanna tag along?

I'd love to, but the commute is 1776 miles (no, I'm not kidding. Go to Google Maps and find directions from Minneapolis, MN to Prescott, AZ).

Enjoy

If anyone is in Bar Harbor, Maine for the holidays... I'm going out mini-golfing tonight at Pirate's Cove with some friends tonight around 8pm.  Anyone'd be welcome, of course!

Do you live near Bar Harbor?  I love Maine, my wife wants me to find a job somewhere in Maine so we can move there.

Happy 4th everyone.

Yep.  I work at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor.  I don't live on the island (too expensive) but I live right near there.

My wife is in DC on biz, I'm in the S.F. Bay.  While always nice, watching fireworks from the front porch overlooking the bay won't be as nice without her and our annual chocolate chip cookies.

Happy 4th, everyone.
