Can you tell me more about it? What type of TV - digital (DVB-T) or analog?

If it is DVB-T, you will need to get a frequency table - we have not supplied one for France. You can try finding the frequency table for your country by searching on the Internet, and then add it to this file (if you want to try doing it yourself):

C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\TV\DVB Frequencies.xml

Just follow the format for counties that are already in the file.

Please post the frequency info (a link, or the actual table) here, so I can add it to the file.

Hi AT,

I am glad to help.

The table you posted above seems to be for analog TV channels because of references to SECAM and PAL. Do you know if there is separate table for DVB-T? If not, I will try adding these frequencies to the file.

EDIT:

Also, what is the bandwidth for France? 7 or 8?

Hi!

Unfortunately I don't know... How I can konw it ? You can put 7 and If It don't work I will change with 8 value.
How is the format of DVBT Chanel ? But I think that It's not separated frequencie.

If its good I try this afternoon with your files.

Thanks !!

This document should be what you're after-
http://www.tnt-gratuite.fr/Content/pro-bo-doc-tk-frequences_tnt.pdf
How to arrive at the deviation from the base frequency (Per transmitter) appears to be defined in the notes at the bottom.
Having said that, my French isn't good enough to translate technical documents properly.

You French is definitely better than mine.

Are you referring to this

Quote

Taking a guess (I know no French):

Central Frequency = 306 + 8 n + 0.166 d, where n is between 21 and 69, and d is ...

So 8 MHz must be the bandwidth to use, and the frequencies are (I am ignoring the last term for now) (in MHz):

Right, this is what I make of it  :P
Each transmitter appears to have a set amount of deviation from the base (Central) frequency. Not sure why this is, probably due to thier locations and neighbouring countries, as suggested by various of the notes.
To find the local frequency for any transmitter, use this equation-
Code: [Select]
306 + 8n + 0.166dBandwidth is indeed 8Mhz.
n appears to be the number from the column 'Canal'
d can take the values of either -1, 0, 1, 2 or 3 depending on the local situation. (Can't see anything determining precisely what these may be)

Also fished this up; Don't know if its of any help-

Quote
DVB-T Parameters
Multiplexes    5 in use, 6  planned
Operational bands    UHF
Carrier type    8k
Guard    1/32**
FEC    2/3**
Modulation    64QAM
MFN and SFN    Mostly MFN
Channel bandwidth    8 MHz
Compression    MPEG-2 with MPEG-4pt.10 for Pay TV

Hello,
I'm also using JRiver MC in France with a double TNT card (Hauppaugge) and I'm very glad to tell you I've found the french frequency table for DVB-T.
You just need to paste the following list in the file Yaobing has indicated at the top of this topic.
<Country Name="France" CountryCode="33" NetworkType="DVB-T" Bandwidth="8">

MC13 will begin beta next week.  It can use XMLTV.  There is more information in our Wiki (link above).
