DVD Playback issues

I've been using MC for over a year and its always been very solid and reliable (i much prfefer it to Winamp and other apps).

However, I am experiencing problems with playing DVDs on MC - they either play faster than they should or I seem to be getting some running on an auto-zoom size! - should I try a reinstall or is this a known issue?

Not a known issue.  It may be your DirectShow filter.  Try the DVD info in our Wiki.  Link above.

Difficult to give an advice based on your short description. Can be messed up settings in MC or within some codecs / DirectShow filters. This link given by JimH may be a good address for you. If you are looking for an easy way (maybe not the best but a working one) my older Post might help you to get MC work for DVD playback again. It contains all download links you may need and a description how you can set them up in MC.
