New mute behaviour- Ugh!
« on: October 13, 2008, 07:57:06 pm »

Hate to post this, but the new mute behaviour is IMHO a change for the worse.
If I've muted MC, it's generally for a reason, and it unmuting itself whenever I stop playback this is most unwelcome :(

I admit I'm biased in working with large numbers of videos (It makes some sense for audio, but even here I'd keep the previous behaviour- MC doesn't know why it was muted in the first place), where audio may not be the primary focus, but if I make a positive change such as choosing to mute something, in my opinion MC should respect this.

Thoughts from anyone else?

I agree.  Not a fan of the new behavior, also for video reasons.

Haven't played with it myself, but I have to agree. My applications shouldn't be second-guessing my decisions.

I agree.  Who suggested this change?
