Playlist did not come over with new release
« on: November 03, 2008, 03:40:59 pm »

All my playlists disappeared when I upgraded to MC13.  What happened to them and why didn't they come over.

I know, have the same problem, in fact every single time I upgrade this happens, getting really fed up with this, spent hours on creating playlists, only for them to be lost again, problem is you can't even print a list of the playlists, help file is very poor too.....

Did you import your old data?  When you install MC13, it can do that.

The problem is that most times when there is a new build or new version my playlists are empty when I need to re-import them i.e. all files disapper from my playlists. I just think it would be awesome that as soon as a playlist has been exported to a folder, it can always simply be re-imported no matter what and without having to worry about backups, imports, library checks, file names and path and so forth, it all just becomes way too complicated for the average user like me who quickly needs access to playlists. Is there no way this is possible?
