I'm not sure if the CUE file can contain the meta data.
I'm fairly sure the WAV file can't.

Is there a reason why you couldn't use a better lossless format such as APE or FLAC?

Hi Mr ChriZ

I'm looking for a program that will do Database lookups and build a cue file like:

REM GENRE Classical
REM DATE 1962
REM DISCID 8C129A0B
REM COMMENT "ExactAudioCopy v0.99pb4"
PERFORMER "Mahler"

  TRACK 11 AUDIO

    PERFORMER "Mahler"
    INDEX 01 75:22:30

For a Single file wav . I see the MediaJukebox does Single wav's with cue sheets but I can't get it to look up the data in the database . This Cue sheet was taken from a Single file wave in EAC and gives you the song titles , track numbers , Indices into the file . What I get from the ripper in Jukebox has almost no information . This is a cue sheet from Patricia Barbers - Modern Cool

FILE "Unknown Artist - Unknown Album.wav"
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track01"
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track02"
    INDEX 01 05:27:42
  TRACK 03 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track03"
    INDEX 01 10:20:02
  TRACK 04 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track04"
    INDEX 01 18:23:32
  TRACK 05 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track05"
    INDEX 01 26:50:30
  TRACK 06 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track06"
    INDEX 01 32:06:62
  TRACK 07 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track07"
    INDEX 01 37:15:55
  TRACK 08 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track08"
    INDEX 01 42:58:25
  TRACK 09 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track09"
    INDEX 01 48:54:15
  TRACK 10 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track10"
    INDEX 01 53:09:32
  TRACK 11 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track11"
    INDEX 01 58:55:55
  TRACK 12 AUDIO
    TITLE "Track12"
    INDEX 01 64:44:47

I don't think it did a database lookup . It picksup  Unknown artist-Unknown Album .

I'm looking for an all in one program that does the single file wave + cue sheet + album art . EAC does two of the three (doesn't do cover art) but it takes about 15 minutes to rip one CD . I probably used an incorrect term ,saying metadata but it isn't a tag so I don't know what to call it .

Thanks

I'm trying to Rip a CD to a file encoding as a  Single .wav with cue sheet .
If you're concerned about quality, WAV isn't any better than lossless, and there are other things you could do:

WAV files can't have internal tags, for instance.

I don't use CUE files, but maybe this will help:

I know how to use Cue files with Jukebox already :) What I don't know is how to do a database look up when using your ripper  ?. When doing the database lookup it should build a cue file with that album ,artist , track number , indices  and so forth ,like the EAC example above .

If your ripper can't do this ,that's fine , I won't persue it any further . I'm only trying to understand how to use the ripper part of your program  8).

Thank you so much for your patience  :).
