So I just finished installing MC13 on my new Dell Studio 15. It was the first (and as it turned out, only) piece of software I installed on this sexy laptop. As I hit the final button on the install dialog (to run MC13), my wrist clipped my coffee cup. Only a tiny bit of coffee spilled on the keyboard before I slammed the lid/screen down on the laptop. Since the laptop wasn't fully on the the desk, this motion caused the Dell to topple and hit the floor.
When I opened the lid, I was dismayed to see that the screen was shattered. I had heard that MC13 caused some PCs to become unstable and crash, which is exactly what happened to my laptop. Normally it's balanced just fine where it was on the desk, but I think installing MC13 made it unstable. MC causes my desktop machine to crash occasionally but never shatters the screen like that of the laptop. I thought the crash wasn't too bad, but since laptops are probably less robust than desktop PCs, I guess that's what you get.
Anyway, at the risk of sounding rude to the MC staff, can someone please look into this obvious installation bug. And before Jim chimes in to ask me whether I had disabled my anti-virus software (which came with the laptop), I have to add that yes I did. In fact I went the extra mile and made sure I had a virus or two from surfing dodgy websites before trying to install MC13.
Please do something about this, otherwise I will revert to the excellent, bug-free combination of iTunes, PowerDVD and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
EDIT: So the 'joke' has gone long enough; I'm editing the title in case someone wanting to buy MC is just problem-thread-title browsing.
