Server Restored
« on: April 06, 2009, 10:09:29 am »

A JRiver server went down at about midnight CDT last night and was restored by 9:00AM this morning.  No data was lost, but you may not have had service during this time.

We believe it was a hardware error on a server that has generally been reliable.  We're working on a plan to fix the problem.  We're also investigating a way to recycle the hardware if it occurs again in order to minimize the down time.

I apologize for the problem.

Regards,

It was a difficult time for some of us.  We were uncertain what to do with our spare time.
Some people went out doors and saw sunlight for the first time.

Others like myself were forced into looking at other forums like this one, and trying to help people out

Oddly installing codecs on to people's mowers did not seem to resolve their problems.

I for one am grateful the server has been restored.

Quick, someone grab it!

I noticed the downtime as well.
