Hi
I am unable to burn any Audio or MP3 files to disc.

When I attempt to burn an Audio Disc I receive the message - 'Command Sequence Error'

When I attempt to burn a MP3 Data Disc I receive the message - 'Invalid Address For Write'

When burning an MP3 Disc I also receive the message - 'Preparing for ISO image Creation' but nothing happens

Is there any setting I need to change to rectify this annoying problem? 

I am using the ASUS burner

There is no problem with playing Audio, MP3's or Ripping CD's

Well, that's the complete opposite to my recent experience. I could burn, but could not rip or play.

The root of the problem was that Windows had my drives installed as SCSI when they should have been IDE. (It showed them as SCSI drives under "DVD/CD-Rom Drives" in device manager)
I reinstalled the inf drivers from my motherboard CD and that cured the problem.

If you're not suffering the same, then I guess it's over to John T.
Do you have any log files that might help?

Where do I find the appropriate log files?

On the top toolbar in MC, click on "Help > Logging" and then tick "output to a log file"

Next try burning, and after receiving the error messages, open the logging dialogue again and click on 'email log files' and send the email to logsATjriver.com

I did what you said and sent the the log files.

I recall whrn I was unable to burn a disc on an earlier build John Thompson got me to use a generic burner that helped solve the problem.

In the options for the drive, try slowing it down to, say 5X.

Okay

I slowed the burn down to x10 speed.

I was able to burn a MP3 disc although it took forever; it was successful. 

I then tried to burn an Audio disc without success. This time it took forever to begin the burn and when on the second track it ejected the CD leaving the message 'Command Sequence Error'

Something may be wrong with the drive.

It's also possible that something like a virus checker is getting in the way.

Slow the drive down more and see if you can burn an audio CD.

So either the drive is bad, or something is so slow on your PC that MC is unable to keep the queue full.

A hard drive in PIO mode would do that.  A virus checker could.  Any software that takes a tight hold of the CD drive could be a problem.

Try a google search for ideas.

Bump

Still having no joy with Burning MP3 or Audio CD's; only it now will not burn on any speed. It not the drive as I can burn DVD's with no problem.

Its a gremlin in my Media Center. I have faith in your team helping fix this as I love this program and have just purchased MC 14!!
