TitanTV as guide source
« on: June 19, 2009, 02:22:32 pm »

Has anyone been able to get this to work?  I get an "error HL -y" in mc2xml and it doesn't download any data.  I want to get digital sub-channel guide data.  I know I can select a digital cable lineup with the "standard" setting to get this data but this downloads a lot more guide information than necessary and could change if the cable company decides to move channels around.

Did you try telling MC to reset the parameters used (zip code, etc.)?

Also, if your version of mc2xml isn't recent, try downloading again.

From the mc2xml site:
Quote
Update for the few still using the titantv service: it requires your 30 character ID which can now be specified on the command line by using the new "-y <id>" parameter (a default one has been included; if it expires you will receive a "-y" error and will need to specify your own (or find one on ye olde interweb)). If you were using this service only for ATSC, there are better options available (as well as the classics)

Ok, thanks.  I didn't see that.  I guess I will use the "digital cable technique" although I have had problems with this in the past when using WMC.
