I don't know the answer to this.  Does the keyboard control panel allow selecting the media player?

If I remember rightly it depends on what's set as default player for audio cds...

Go to Tools->Options->File Associations and check Associate with Audio CDs, and check CD Audio (cda) in the list too.

(or in MC13, Tools->Options->File Types, find CD Audio (cda) in the list and check the file association box.)
