Motion video from digital camera playback (.mts format)
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:02:55 am »

Hi,

I am considering buying a panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 camera which records motion video in AVCHD Lite format.  A sample video file was available as a .mts file.

MC14 does not want to play this file.  Am I missing something e.g. codec etc. ?
Does MC not support the HD format yet?

Any comments appreciated.

Tools > Options > File Types

mts is listed under Video/AVCHD Video (m2ts,mts).

Set "Playback Method" to "JRiver video engine (using DirectShow filters)", and select filters.  You need to have a video decoder filter that can handle the video type.  FFDShow probably should do (install CCCP).

There is a DirectShow topic on our wiki (link above).
