Media Jukebox 8.0.320 is available for download:

MEDIA JUKEBOX caused a general protection fault
in module HPFSUI16.DLL at 000f:00002277.

Checking printer properties thru MJ still causes immeadiate crash.

Odd?  That's an understatement.  Works great now though.  I can disable skins again, YEAH!

Jim,

Thought about that, but it is a recent upgrade from HP. About two months ago. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow and see what happens. Too tired to mess with it now. Getting up even earlier, starting at 6:00 am. Yuck!!! But at least the traffic is an hour behind me on the way home. Yeah!!!

Also, just burned another mp3 disc for the road trip and MJ gave this error after the burn. Strange??? Seems like the burn itself went ok.

MEDIA JUKEBOX caused a general protection fault
in module MMSYSTEM.DLL at 0006:000000d0.

It could be that a re-boot will fix this. Again, tomorrow.

CD Labeler continues to consistently crash when the following sequence is carried out.

1. Select Preview in the Print diaalog. box.
2. Select Print in the Preview dialog box.
Preview dialog closes and Print dialog is again visible .
4. Select Print in the Print dialog box.
Cover prints, Print dialog closes, Cd Labeler crashes.

This does not occur if Close is selected in the Preview dialog instead of Print.

It's really just an annoyance, as the Labeler is closed at this point anyway.

Wow.  That quickly you guys are on this.  I continue to be impressed.

I am experiencing some odd behavior with shuffle, though.  MJ8.0.320.  Say I have 10 songs in PN.  I have shuffle turned on.  I now add a group of songs to the end of PN, by (1) selecting them through a playlist or by explicitly highlighting them, and (2) Send To > Playing Now - Add (to end).  The files are added, but they are not shuffled before being appended to PN.  Then if I clear PN, and add a different playlist to PN, it is not shuffled enroute, even though shuffle is still on.

Thanks for your efforts on this.  The best jukebox program is evolving into something even better.

Is there any reason why this download doesn't include any more the build number embedded in the filename?
I appreciated having it.

12. Fixed: File properties dialog could be closed while it was saving.

Not fixed; that is, the window showing progress saving track 2 of 14 or whatever closes, but the file properties window remains open. The process continues with no progress bar or other means of knowing what's going on; when it's done, the properties window closes.
MJ crashes if I try to do something else.

Oldwinap error rears it's ugly head again when ripping.

Luigi1943,
I noticed that also.  I just add the build number to the file before down loading it.  (When the down load dialogue box pops up and ask where to store the file, I add the build number to the file to be downloaded.)

I'm excited to try 8.0.320.  It is downloading slowly now.  I do have an issue with MJ.  I have a plextor at home that burns at 40x.  MJ only allow me to choose x32.  Do you think it is possible to have the 40x choice added in the next release?

Hi - Thanks for the PN fix!

MJ just crashed between songs on me. It was in mini-me mode with the Lower Left skin |PLS| Slide Show running away. There was thunderous disk activity and then MJ closed down with the standard W2K error.

I restarted and the next song in PN was set to play and played fine. It's been OK since then.

Sorry I don't have any better input or idea what happened.

JNKH,

Selection of burner speeds was updated in build 320. As far as I remember it goes up to 56x.

Influxor:

Yes, the LED (it's an external firewire drive) is still flickering.
Not sure I was clear in my initial post: The saving tracks dialog initially displays saving 2 of 14 (for example) and then disappears; so there is no visual display of it saving 3, 4, 5 etc.
During all this, the busy light is on. When the light goes off, the file props window closes.
If I try any other procedure that would interrupt the saving process, MJ crashes.
btw: It's a similar story with other processes, too.
For example, if I select an album full of tracks and click the file properties button, it says "gathering file information 1 of 16" -- but never cycles thru 2,3,4 etc. The the file prop window opens. That's just annoying and no biggie, but the saving glitch can be a real problem.
Thx

I noticed the same behaviour with the properties dialog last night.  I changed the custom1 field for about 400 files, pressed save, saw the progress dialog for an instant, then was left with the file dialog.  About 10 seconds later, the file dialog disappeared.  I didn't try doing other things during that time, but I will tonight.

Shelly,

We can't reproduce the problem you've described.
What printer are you using?
