turn off auto import
« on: October 24, 2009, 06:49:39 pm »

Is there no way to turn this off.
I don't use it, never have, probably never will.
I don't want it suggesting folders for me, nothing.
When I want it to import something I will ask it to import something.

I understand your wanting to help the new users but most of the media programs I use at least ask if I want it to scan my drives.

Thanks

Try Tools/Options/Library & Folders.

Have you imported anything at all?
If there are *no* files in MC's library, then it'll keep triggering auto-import. If you import a single file, this'll stop unless you set anything else up in the import wizard :)

Jim,
Unfortunately there is no do nothing button,

Leezer,
I did import a single file and that seems to have stopped it.
Not sure why this should be necessary though.

On a new install if I tell it not to import anything I would expect it to remember that I don't want it to import anything.

Thanks
