I had again the high CPU usage I described in few other threads. This time I had a look with process explorer and found details of the thread. On the top of the stack is
JRImage.dll!??_7CxImage@@6B@+0x27188
Could this mean that MC is generating thumbnails or something of the sort?
I still wish there was a status somewhere about the background tasks and a way to stop them...

It usually seems to be thumbnail related.

 A couple of questions;

Are you using auto import to monitor folders of videos/images?

Is the High CPU just after MC is started or does it happen other times too?

You can force MC to generate all thumbnails at once.  It's an option under Tree & View/Thumbnails.
