Hi (first post)

I purchased and recieved my Musiland Monitor 02.  I installed the latest driver 1.0.7.  I downloaded the trial of jriver media center and installed it.  I am using Windows XP right now.

I am getting sound, very good sound through my Audio Refinement (YBA) system.

When I look in Tools settings at Audio Output, "Direct Sound" is selected.  If I try anything else, I get errors from the software claiming there is no support for 44.1khz, etc.... It sounds nice like it is.

I was getting a few clicks and pops but I changed the slider from more responsive to less skips and that took away all clicking noises.

I have auditioned music for hours.  I am playing FLAC files.

Do I need to change this set up?  Can I make it better ?  Do I need to be using ASIO ?

Either I have posted in the wrong forum, people have no knowlesge of the Musicland unit, or they do not understand ASIO...

On XP, you cannot use WASAPI.  If the device supports ASIO, try that.  Our wiki (link above) has info.

Clicks and pops may be a driver problem.  

Try setting output to 24bits in playback options/DSP.

I was told to use the ASIO plug in for foobar.  I think there is an install or something on the driver disk for this.  Will this give me a .dll or driver to support ASIO you think?  Then I should try selecting it in JRiver ?
