Burn Disc / CD burner error. Windows 7
« on: February 22, 2010, 12:46:44 pm »

Hi.

I'm running J River 14 on my Windows 7 x64 computer. It works great, but I can't burn CD's from this computer. I have a Nec ND-4571A DVD recorder. When I press Burn Disc I get an error stating 'Burn Disc' is currently unavailable. Please ensure that a suitable burner is installed on this machine. Also, make sure you are using a local library and ar not in Party Mode.

Anyone?

I find some treads about a rights program for MC12 and XP... but that's a while a go.

Also... The burner works great in Nero, CDburnerXP and WMC.
It is also no burners listed in the burner list in MC

I have the same message, same problem using windows 7 as well.. Unfortunately I don't have a portable disc drive to 'fix' it.
Any idea please?

Try the trial version of MC15 to see if it works.

Thank you; tried but too bad no changes. When I usb connect a portable hard drive the burner appears in MC, but when i disconnect & reboot MC can't find the (internal) burner anymore..
I really don't want to keep the external hard drive connected just to burn music :)

Perhaps more ideas?

Apparently, unfortunately, connecting the external hard drive doesn't guarentee that that MC (now 15) can find the burner.
Any ideas are welcome please.
