help needed with libraries
« on: February 28, 2010, 07:27:45 am »

hi,

I've got MC on my main PC and just loaded it on another, but wheras the main PC shows under file\libraries\Default in the new install there is no Default library showing.

When Im using the new PC and search for libraries, it finds and loads the library from the main PC (good so far!) , but to switch back to its own library there is no option because "default" is not on the list.

What am I doing wrong ?

Did you import anything on the second machine?

And running MC on that second PC, if you go to Library Manager, do you see a Default Library?

If not, uninstall, removing registry entries, reboot and reinstall.

No Default Library in Library manager, it just says Search for L... localserver_autofind:80

How do i remove the registry entries ? any easy way? can I use system restore?

It's part of the uninstall.

OK Jim,

I think this is something you need to look into:

Looking at my main PC that has a Default Library I see from the downloads section of win 7 that it started off on build 130,

so I uninstalled MC from one of the problem PCs, rebooted and installed build 130 - straight away I have a Default Library, now I update to 151 and I still have a Defaul Library

EDIT second PC done - same result...looks like something odd in build 151

Thanks for the details.

This will be fixed in a coming build.
