Setting multiple folders for media files
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:05:28 pm »

I downloaded JR v14 to try it out and was disappointed to discover that I can set only one folder for each media file type. But I have my movies in three locations, office PC, HTPC and NAS drive. The software I'm using at the moment (XBMC) can be configured to add as many locations as I desire for media files. Can JRiver do this and if not can this feature be added?

In auto import options, you can add as many folders as you want, and you can edit each to import whatever file types you want.

Thanks for your reply JimH. Can I ask whether the auto import copies files to the defualt media folder, e.g., video folder?

It doesn't move files.  It just adds them to the library.
