Redrat ir-control and MC15
« on: April 27, 2010, 01:23:57 pm »

Hi,

I've bought a Redrat3-II on recommendations by your website. It's installed in my Windows 7 and shows up as a device in the controlpanel but it does not show up in MC15 - Options - Remote - Devices & Options. The devices IRMAN and USB-uuirt says 'failed to start'. Any ideas how I could fix this to use my remote? Thanks.

Where did  you see it recommended?

We now recommend the MC Remote.  You can see an ad for it above.

Well, a couple of weeks ago it was written directly on your web (when I ordered it) and right now in a link from you web to wiki saying:

"Universal remotes

You can also add a generic IR receiver to your PC, and control Media Center with any remote.

- You need to have an Infrared receiver like those for WMC remotes or the *USBUIRT, UIRT2, RedRat, or IRMan, which will connect to your PC with a serial or USB cable.
- MC has a setup screen in Tools> Options> Remote Control.
- Media Center supports the Windows MC Remote Control and Keyboad natively"

So, what you're now saying is that RedRat is not supported by MC15?
