Slow volume control
« on: May 19, 2010, 04:40:31 pm »

I've just installed MC15 on my computers, and most things works just fine. I have a server in one room and laptop to control it in the living room. Your remote kit is connected to the laptop. The volume control works, but it's extremely slow. Moving it from 0 to 20% takes around 10 seconds. In MC14 it was much faster. Is there somewhere in MC15 you can change the response?

Is playback on the server?

And you have our Media Center Remote (ad above) on the client?

Are you using WebRemote?  Or Tremote?

Yes, playback on the server.

Yes, your remote kit on the client.

Tremote.

Connected the remote kit on the server today, and it reacts much faster. So the problem must be related to the use of Tremote.

WebRemote is another possible way to do this:

You could try changing which volume MC is using.  Right click on the speaker icon in the upper left corner.

Coming in build 48:
Optimized: When changing the volume of a server zone while connected as a Library Server Client (TRemote), the response is faster.

However, changing volume when connected will be a little slower than changing the volume locally.  If you click a location on the volume slider instead of dragging, it will be a little faster since a drag sends progressive volume changes and a click sends a single volume change.

Thanks.
