Former MJ 8 User - Big Troubles Getting It Back
« on: April 16, 2003, 10:13:33 am »

OK - I'm having some major problems.  I was an MJ 8 user with everything purchased, license and all.  Then I decided to try out the MC 9 version.  Well it was OK, but I wanted to switch back to my version 8.  Tried to switch back to 8, but things were different, couldn't use CDDB, among other things.  So I just re-downloaded 8 and now it says, "you are attempting to open a database that is too new for this version........please upgrade....".  What do I have to do to simply get back to what I had??!!  Thanks......

Make sure you have the latest version of either program.  Then see the page on switching you'll find here:

OK - well I just un-installed everything and re-installed it and it seems to be doing fine, except for CDDB.  How do I get that working again?  And does my license automatically work with the one I just downloaded?

CDDB is no longer suported by MJ8 now it uses YADB http://www.yadb.com
