MP3 encoder fails
« on: July 13, 2010, 01:12:37 pm »

Paid through pay pal and tried both ways to authenticate- no luck.  Suggestions?

Once in a while, a Paypal purchase fails to complete at Paypal.  Theres' info here that would help:
http://www.jrmediacenter.com/buy_15.html

Search for Paypal on that page.

If that doesn't work, post details (without posting your license).  What are you doing and what happens?

It looks like the transaction completed but then you started a dispute at Paypal.

Did you receive the license from buy-button at jriver?  It sometimes ends up in a spam folder.

When you purchase, the license is installed automatically.

I did start a dispute-  The encoder never worked automatically and I have confirmation numbers from paypal that did not work as well as code numbers that do not work.

Why do you think it's not working?  Did you try to encode to MP3?

You can enter your Registration Code on the Restore Page here:
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi
(Use IE.  Watch the screen carefully.)

It would have been better to try to solve the problem first before disputing the purchase.

I can cancel the purchase if you wish.

Just tried on IE.  Error-  we could not find that license. Cancel paypal and try regular credit card?
Transaction made using paypal through mozilla firefox-  Will that matter?

Purchase from Mozilla is OK.

Download the latest MJ here:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=57388.0

Import a few files and try converting one.  I just did this, and tested your license.  It worked for me.  But look carefully at the top of the screen in IE for a horizontal yellow error message.  IE will block the download until you allow it.

Attached is an image with IE just after restoring your Registration Code on the Restore Page.

Note the yellow bar at the top.

Are you getting to this page?
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi

And using your Registration Code there?  It begins with 3H.  Don't confuse it with your Paypal transaction number.
