SEEK
« on: August 01, 2010, 04:47:39 pm »

Now that we have an extended menu, finding the rewind during playback is a little more difficult as we now have an extra menu.

Mt question is, Can I modify the top menu File view Player etc and put a shortcut to the rewind?

Right click/Customize.  Those are your options.

There is no right click Customize on the Playing Bar menu.

Try standard view.  You probably can't customize Display View.

I doubt it, if you're playing a video in fullscreen mode.

the confusion is, i think, that maid is using a skin with the old player bar (as do i, i like that more in coverview because it has the search there). the old player shows a toolbar with file, view and player. under player there is seek. i dont think you can find that anywhere on the new playerbar.
Mt question is, Can I modify the top menu File view Player etc and put a shortcut to the rewind?
you can not modify that menu. you can modify the toolbar in standardview, but there are no seek shortcuts there as far as i see, and the modifications wont be showing up on the playerbar (wich is a bit of a pitty, would be nice to have my rotate buttons there).  8)

Thank you for clearing that up for me. It has just got harder for mouse users now as the menu has now become deeper.

Some changes are not always good ones.

Here are some alternatives:

Use keyboard combination CTRL+RIGHT ARROW (LEFT ARROW) for FF (REW).  CTRL+SHIFT+ARROW for jumping forward (backward).

Use mouse to click and hold the Next (Previous) button to skip forward (backward) and release when desired time mark is reached.
