Video tags locked

Does anyone know why the tags on my mkv files are locked (read-only)?  I can't tell which ones are locked and which ones are not.  Sometimes watching a minute or so of the video will unlock the tags, sometimes just selecting the video and waiting a minute will unlock it.

Even so, this is a real pain in the butt.  I'm wasting a lot of time trying to modify locked tags and waiting for them to unlock...

Sounds like your installation is causing a loss of focus. Are thumbnails being built perhaps? Is it just the tagging that can't be done when an mkv is "locked"? Have you tried accessing an of the top menu items when your video files appear locked? It could be that a background process is stealing CPU cycles from what you're trying to do. I used to have this problem all the time in MC 12 and MC 13, but it was actaully due to a buggy version of Haali splitter and/or a tray icon issue

Just an idea; apologies if this is in no way your issue.

The tray icon feature should be turned off in Haali.

You can rebuild all thumbnails in MC's options for view.
