Switched to Windows 7, now can't get Webplay to work.
« on: September 28, 2010, 06:25:11 am »

I was on XP and Webplay/ Gizmo worked great , and my machine kicked the bucket.

Bought a new machine with Windows 7  still using the same wireless hardware config, and now I get the 'your server cannot be seen from the internet' message when I test for a server.

I tried killing the firewall in windows.  I tried with the firewall in windows with port open and permissions for Media Center on. I have scoured the wiki, and can't find that I am doing anything differently than i did on XP.   Is there something new in windows 7 that has to be configured for something like Webplay to work?
It's killing me not having access to my music at work and on the go.

Try going to tools/options/Media Network/ and go through "Manage Access to Server".  Your IP address is probably different than it was.  Until the test works, access from outside won't work.

Our wiki has an article titled "Network Access".

It could also be a firewall issue.
