How to find Media Center revision I'm using?
« on: October 28, 2010, 02:49:35 pm »

I'm sure its listed somewhere, but my membership at this forum being right at 30 minutes old, I'm a bit lost and intimidated by it all. Additionally, I'm only 3-4 days into dipping my toes into Media Center and I'm still getting a reminder stating I have "XX" days left on my trial version even tho I paid the $49.95 fee yesterday. Please be tolerant with me as I'm in my 60's so please understand there were no 'puters till I was well into my 40's and this whole digital music thing, while wonderful sounding, is NOT 2nd nature to me ;-)

Welcome to the forum.  I'm older than dirt myself.

Make sure your system date is correct.  Make sure you've installed MC15 and that your license is for MC15.

It's possible that your license wasn't installed correctly, but that can be fixed.

Thanks Jim!  I "think" everything's fine now but without some measure of an accompanying confirmation/verification of some kind, I'm just going on gut-level instinct. Least it didn't remind me I only have "x-amount" of days left on my trial period this time.

To see if you are registered, or that the license has installed correctl, clock Help/Registration Info...

If it's not registered, just save the .mjr file you would have been emailed when you purchased your license and then double click on it in windows explorer.  It sould auto register itself.
