Is there any way to edit a track ID3 tag when its playing and save it without restarting the song? MusicMatch has that functionallity, can you guys incorperate it into MediaJB? Perhaps save the position of the song, write the tag, then restart from the stop point.

There could be a way.

1. Any Changes Could Be Put In A Stack For Any File That Is Locked (Read Only) This Includes Playing Now Files.

2. When The File Is Done Playing Or The Status Changes From Read Only Then The Info Could Be Saved.

MJ Does Not Have This Option, And I Have Not Tested MusicMatch Latly To See If What Your Saying Is True.

This Could Be Something For The "Wish List".

Strange, I used to be able update tags without MJ restarting the song. Last night, however, while updating an album's cover art, MJ 8.293 locked up hard and I had to hit the PC's reset button. After rebooting I'm now seeing the restart behaviour when updating fields of MP3 files.

I don't have "embed cover art" set. Tagging settings are the default (create if necessary).

If the whole song was buffered in memory would it still restart when a tag was changed?

Is there a way to verify the integrity of the Library files? I'm a bit nervous about the fact that the PC locked up in the middle of updating tags.
