« on: March 31, 2011, 04:59:45 pm »

Since this didn't make it in v15 could it be put in v16?

Is it any closer to the top of "the list"?

I really want this as well but it seems there isn't much interest for some reason.
I can't be the only one that uses a flash drive with their car stereo that could use this ( no car stereos support replay gain).

It could be the same way foobar or mp3gain does it.

Bump.. The ability to select custom dsp/ vst effects as part of the audio conversion process without modifying the source files loaded within the library is something that would come in handy for many people.
Foobar2000 has the ability to to load and use vst plugins within a directsound container as part of audio format conversion chain. Although I found this to be a rather unintuitive and fiddly processes with somewhat buggy results.

Another useful feature could allow a user to use the 'format converter' to extract audio from videos files including files that have been downloaded from youtube for example.

It has been nearly 14 months since it was indicated that this was on the list to be implemented.  In the meantime, features like "Audio Protect" have been added which I don't remember anyone asking for.  It this ever really going to happen or should I just move on?

Sorry, I think you're going to have to take the hint like I did and move on to something else.

Wow, I stand corrected.  It's too late for me but you should ask for more things while you're at it, tuxedo_fr, since you seem to be pretty powerful...

The new feature may still be buggy (I just reported a problem on the beta board), but I am sure the possibly existing bugs will be worked out soon.
