Delete button in Theatre View
« on: May 06, 2011, 09:21:36 am »

How can I remove this button? The last thing I want is my kids removing files from the library.

I would like this too and have requested it in the past.  The only need I have for Delete in Theater View is for recorded tv - any other kind of delete would be an accident.

Me too.

I would like the family to be able to use Theater View and not worry about them making a mistake. So
I would like to remove the Delete and Tag button in Theater View. Is there anyway to do this?

I think both tagging and deleting should be optional too.

Where can we find the guy that would code this type of thing?

 ;D

I need Delete for certain views from all LS (Library Server) clients. Happy for it to be optional though.

Regarding LS clients, it would be good if the LS authentication system could be expanded eventually to define delete permissions on a per user basis.  That would be the best solution IMO.

When it comes to media changes, the Tagging and Delete button should be optional, yes. when it comes to accidentally replacing/screwing up the whole Playing Now list, it would be good to have option to remove the Play All button as well. All this 3 things can make a lot of trouble if the remote is in the wrong hands.
