I recently purchased the HD Homerun dual tuner and installed it on my media server. I installed the software that came with the HD Homerun and then configured the tuners in Media Center and it worked perfectly. I then went and added the tuners to two other computers in the house that had Media Center on them. Again, installation went perfect. Since everything was going so well, I decided to takeover a computer my wife was using and move it into the master bedroom. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 and then I installed the HD Homerun software and then the latest version of Media Center. I could watch recorded shows, but live tv would not work. Depending on what I tried, I would either get black screen or I would get one of a couple errors. I searched the forum and tried all the resolutions that were described here and nothing worked. I knew that I had not installed any of the FFDShow filters or CCCP, but I figured that RedOctober would take care of installing what was needed. Finally, I downloaded and installed CCCP. When I went to live TV, Media Center showed a brief message about downloading required components and live tv started working.
Hopefully, this will help someone else trying to get HD Homerun working. It appears that there is something that needs to be installed in the CCCP pack that RedOctober will not install on it's own.
