Lost subtitles in MC16

I followed your advice and installed 16.0.110: result, sound problem resolved.
BUT: I've no subtitles anymore, in MC15 they were loaded automatically (after install DirectVobSub).
 I use .srt files + setting DirectVobSub (auto loading)
spoken language original to movie, subtitles Dutch (Belgium)
can you please help again, is this a bug?

Is the Red October option in use for video?  Check MC settings.

You can select subtitles with the On Screen Display (up and down arrows).
