Not Displaying Artwork
« on: June 25, 2011, 10:45:08 pm »

I have the most current version of Media Center (16.0.116).  It is not displaying artwork on many albums (even those indicated that the artwork is available locally) in the view that shows every artists' albums; a single artist's albums; and in the sub-view of an artist's albums.  However, it will show the artwork in the small "Display" box in the lower left.  This has happened beyond the most current version, but I simply haven't asked for help yet.  Further, I re-updated my albums with my anti-virus/anti-spyware software turned off, to no avail.

Thanks,

Paul

I have tried the following, to no avail:

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled MC;
2. Rebuilt thumbnails;
3. Removed cover art (right click->Cover Art->Remove Cover Art), then redownloaded/retagged artwork;
4. Deleted MC cover art folder in App Data folder (which did not contain artwork of affected albums, anyway).

Ideas?

Thumbnails can be rebuilt manually.  Under Tools/Options/View.  It's worth trying.

Add the following field to your view: Image File

This field will tell you what is going on. If it says 'Inside', that means the cover art is embedded in the file. If it has a path name, it is pointing to that directory and the cover art is not embedded. If it is blank, there is no cover art.

I figured it out.  I rebuilt the library from the tags.
