If you're trying to use LAV CUVID, get build 128.  RO HQ loads it automatically.

Upload it somewhere.  Put a link to it between the img tags.

Or this method:

Don't do that yet.

Try this.

1.  Install 128 from the top of this board.

2.  Set Video to Red October Std.

3.  Turn on logging under MC Help.

4.  Restart MC and try playing a Blu-ray disc.

5.  Go to logging again and copy the current log.  Email the log to matt at jriver with a link to this thread.

After you've done that, try using the trial version of Passkey HD (instead of AnyDVD).

"media center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Please make sure that the path in your media library points the right location".

this is the outcome after the the black screen with the writing "opening..." comes up.

Sometime I don't get any message but nothing is plaied

Did you try running as admin?  When MC starts playback, it may need to download components.

If it doesn't/can't play, that could be a problem reading the disc.  That's why I asked you to try DVDFab Passkey.

What I can say: I love You!  ;D :P 8)
It works. I mean for the moment I'm only seeing video without audio 'cause I'm not plugged to my amp... My wife kicked me off the leaving room enjoing SKY decoder.
But I guess laso the audio should work: iy was working with CDs and DVDs

Just one question: why after the screen opening... it's saying "adding required compeonents..." or something like that?
Is it something remote on the internet or just files in local?

Well I did few things:

- updated windows 7 (I don't know if significative or not...)
- uninstalled AnyDVD
- installed Fabkey for blueray

Anything else.
Tomorrow, to understand if updating Win7 did something or not, I will try to get back to anyDVD HD and let you know!
Now it's late: I don't want to spend another nite in front of my "beloved" screen; currently I hate PCs..  ;)

Just another question: if I buy asus HDAV 1.3 slim will I be able to play throu in bit exact mode using ASIO?

Thanks again for very kind attention!!!

And thanks for your patience.  I, too, hate computers.

Something about the AnyDVD install may not have been right.

If Asus has an ASIO driver, it will probably work.  If it doesn't, we can _almost_ certainly make it work.

Well done suffering through and getting it working.

This is interesting to know.

This morning i tried to do the cross checking.

I uninstalled the trial version of BD Passkey, rebooted the system, installed the trial version of AnyDVD HD and suprise surprise everything was working!

Soon after another check: my father is registered by AnyDVD since few years. I asked him to provide me his registration key for testing purposes only a couple of days ago.
The registration key so is few years old too.

As soon as I registered the AnyDVD HD using the registration key exe file, MC16 stopped to work with BDs. Curios, isn't it?

After the test I unistalled AnyDVD HD.

Since I was having the PC set in the same way until yesterday evening, having the same problem maybe the issue was related to AnyDVD regsitration key...

What do You think? Now my doubt: If You were in my position what would you do? would You buy FAB Passkey or AnyDVD?

If you think it's better you can also answer at marco_grage at live dot it

Keep in mind that for playback of BD you need a working copy of AnyDVD HD (not just AnyDVD)

AnyDVD HD may not allow a key to be used in two locations.   That may have been the problem.  Or it may be a key to a different version.  It's surprising that the program didn't tell you that.

Infact I did not receive any worning message.
Can You rationally exclude that buying AnyDVD HD with a new regsistration file I will not have the problem?
I'm asking You because I'm a jackass about this kind of subject...

Yes. I recommend using the Asus XONAR Unified Drivers instead of the standard ones from Asus. You will get automatic bit matching, but the ASIO drivers will bypass the Windows master volume control. You need to use internal volume (Player > Volume > Internal Volume) in MC16 to control the volume.

ASus Xonar DX driver
« Reply #75 on: July 14, 2011, 04:48:12 am »

to Mojave but interesting for those who have Asus sound cards... :)

Concerning Xonar DX.

Yesterday evening I had a look on Asus website and I found driver release from last decade of June 2011 that seems to work fine: at least at the moment.

Maybe it worth a visit.
