Question: Theater View on Android 3.0?
« on: July 19, 2011, 06:59:02 pm »

Is there a way to have a touchscreen surface like Theater View on a modern tablet?

Or is the only possibility Gizmo?

(the ASUS EEE Slate is just too expensive for having several distributed over the whole house, for one of those I get 2 of the tablets)

thanks :)

On a Windows tablet, you could use Tremote.  You can find a link here:

Yes, JimH, I'm doing Theater View control on an Asus EEE Slate tablet, which runs Windows 7 and it runs just fine (apart from some dings and dents, see my 'Playing Now' and 'Info' panel posts), but is incredibly expensive (the machine is like $1100). I just wondered if there is a another and cheaper possibility around

Gizmo is just not made for a huge library with over 350'000 music tracks

For Theater View I designed the views myself in several steps to find the right album in a breeze. But those views cannot get translated into an Android app like Gizmo

So I'm more or less stuck on a Windows tablet, as I understand it

thanks anyway :)

It's possible to customize Gizmo a little.
