IR Blaster and controlling Set-top Box

I've not been able to find this info explicitly. I have a Digital Cable TV set-top box. I assume that if I plug this into a 125 channel WinTV card, I either won't get anything (because of the digital signal) or only a few of the possible 500 channels I can receive. Therefore, I want to be able to have any TV software or TV tuner card change the channel on the set-top box using an IR blaster.

Is this possible? Who makes it? Does MediaJukeBox support it?
