Sound Competition EMMA-2011
« on: August 29, 2011, 03:06:01 pm »

Dear Matt,

INTEI-TUNING Co specializes in professional multimedia car system installation and is a  well-known EMMA (European Mobile Media Association) participant. In 2009 году our project «Golden Kopeika» won All-Russian and European Championships in Multimedia Expert class. Our projects are always in mass-media highlights both in Russia and abroad. United States specialists are also aware of our projects: Big Dane from the West Cost Customs was our guest not so long ago.

We will be competing in two nominations: Multimedia Expert и Sound Quality.
1.   MM
It will be necessary to play a DVD video 5.1 dolby surround format disk provided by the judge. Disk content will be available.  It would be necessary to disable ALL irrelevant automatic setups and options. We will need to obtain MAXIMUM quality picture, 5+1 sound channels without any setups. All the setups would be corrected by using VST plugins. No other formats will be need to play.

2.   SQ
It will be necessary to play a CD 2+1 format disk provided by the judge. Disk content will be available.  It would be necessary to disable ALL irrelevant automatic setups and options. All the setups would be corrected by using VST plugins. No other formats will be need to play.
In order to provide a high quality sound options we must have an opportunity to translate sound stream from the linear input of the sound card trough the VST plugins and for the show presentation we must have an opportunity to combine a sound from the microphone and at the same time have the music volume down.
We were going to ask you to check why when we push “Play” for the first time we hear the click in the speakers? We never hear anything like that with the other systems.

We will be glad to provide any sufficient info that you might need.
We do hope that our collaboration could be fruitful and we could represent your product successfully.
Best regards,
Alexey.

Try switching Audio among the different choices.  WASAPI and WASAPI Event Style, for example.

Try a lower Sample Rate.  48Khz, for example.

Yes, it might be when the audio device changes its clock frequency.  You could test different sample rates (DSP Studio > Output Format) to test this theory.

Poor quality video in standard mode, Red October. The problem with the DVD menu.
In the Windows Media Video Engine mode, much better and there are no problems with dvd menu. But there is no sound on ASIO.

What is the playback method, audio and video decoders, the renderer must be used to play DVD video?

Try Red October Standard and Red October HQ without any other changes.

Try the latest build from the top of the MC16 board.  It's 16.0.160.

Try on a different PC.

What OS are you using?

1) It is very inconvenient to use the program to monitor 10.2 "with a resolution of 1024/600. Not available controls.
2) How do I connect a microphone (Line-in) through the VST plug-ins to media center?

DVD menu works correctly only in Full screen mode.
In the original resolution (100%) DVD menu does not work correctly.
